Goodbyes and Hellos

This morning started with me getting up at 5 and getting in the car. We drove in circles until my Dad found the airport. HA. My bag was just a little bigger than the carry on luggage size, but the check-in desk woman was very nice and let it through. After eating a muffin, I went through security. Get this, none of my family members cried, only the security woman. LOL!

Great pic of me and my owner (the Buzz Cut doesn't work.)
So i flew for an hour. Before I left the Desk woman said to follow a guy in seat 11F, because he was going to Toronto too. I stalked him nearly all the way to the gate I was needing to be at.

Toronto Bound Eminem Lookalike that I stalked.
This being my first time traveling, I didn't fully know what to do. It took me 30 minutes to find my gate. The Toronto Bound Eminem Lookalike went for some coffee and food, so I had to find the rest of the way to the gate. It wasn't so far off thought, so I was good.

I thought this was a cool pic.
My plane for Toronto.

This guy below, made me think he was either he was some sort of party monster, or he was Brandon's uncle. Or even Melissa's uncle. If you know Brandon (Cassidy's friend) or Melissa (a friend), you know that they are both really into Tie-Die shirts.
Even his shoes! Lol
So.. I send my Mum a text and she sent me this. Technology these days are so creepy. Then she makes it sound not so off with, 'Love you.' Lol

Old school Black-Berry. #Mumsfavouriteclicker

I guess you have all heard about this, right? More creepy technology.

I can't believe how flat our world is. Our world is so small. Well, this isn't any new news for me. I am just saying. I will be in Toronto for 2 nights to health up and wait for my plane ride to Malawi that will depart on Thursday afternoon. I will be staying with some very kind family friends in Toronto.

Heading out on a steel horse.
Well, I arrived in Toronto on time, and I met up with the friends. Renee, mother, and Anna-Marie, daughter, were there. One our way out the door we saw this. They put all these suitcases on top each-other. There is one on the bottom. It is amazing.

I really wanted to put a piece of straw on-top of it. It broke the camels back....
On our way home, we had some A&W. When I got to their house, I had the rest of my dinner, and then I settled in and played some Black Ops 2 with Alexander their 18 year-old son. Below, is my homestead for the next 2 nights. It is a really comfortable room. Well, it is 2:40 AM local time, so I should get to bed.

Seriously? A Cold?

I'm two days away from leaving on my trip, and I have a cold. That's that last thing I need. My mother has been insisting I drink gallons of water contaminated with Oil of Oregano. Normally I drink about a cup a day.... It's enough to say the toilet, and I have become good friends.

Leaving on a jet plane.... My bags are packed and I'm ready to go. Except... I only have two bags. One carry-on and a back-pack. You see, I figure I'll travel light. That way, like the time we flew to Jamaica my check-in will be smooth. No bags to check, no bags to lose.

In a way it feels like this trip is so big that it might not really happen. I'd really appreciate prayer for my journey, as even though I am very excited, I am also a little nervous.

9 Days and Counting!

So... I leave the September 28th afternoon. I will stay the night in Kamloops, and then I will take a flight out of the airport there at 7:40 the next morning. I arrive in Calgary at 10 A.M., and then I fly out at 12:10 and arrive in Toronto at 6 P.M..

I will be spending the evening, the whole next day, and a few hours on the third day at a family friend's home in Toronto. On the third day, I fly from Toronto at 11:20 AM to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  That flight with be 13 hours long. I depart from Addis at 9:50 A.M., and I arrive in Lilongwe, Malawi five hours later. My final flight will be an hour long from Lilongwe, Malawi to Blantyre, Malawi. That is where I will meet the Emerys, and they will take me to Hope Village.
