What's Better than Malaria and Black-Jack?!

Up at 6:30, I was assigned to go and crack up the walls in the pig pen. I had to chisel the cracks in the walls. It was easy work, and by 9:50 AM, I was done. I headed over to the house and refilled my bottle with water and ice. I had some free time from 10 AM to 2 PM at which time I would be helping at the Clinic. I blogged up a post and ate lunch - just sitting around. In Malawi you have to sit around a bit with how hot it gets. You guys won't understand this until you experience a hot climate. Today was 45*.

The time came to rush over to the Clinic and open it with Darren.

The clinic. Darren with his main guy.
We had a lot of people coming in for malaria tests, so eventually Darren's main guy's brother, Joseph, came over to help with tests. Joseph took me outside to a separate table to give the needle and to take the blood test. Through all of the tests that we did, only one of the tests was actually malaria, so I saved a life there. YA! One time I went too deep with the needle and awoke a sleeping baby into a crying fit. Another time I didn't go hard enough, so I had to do it more than once. I might look menacing in this photo. Lol. I wasn't though. ;)

Isn't this one amazingly cute. Such a young mother though.
That evening,I went over to the Children's Home to teach the teenagers some Black Jack. I grabbed my supplies: Cards, 5 and 10 kwatcha coins, and a pen and paper to keep track.

The guys I wanted to play with weren't there - Herald and Intendelli - but Gifti was there. So I taught Joseph, Charlie and Gifti the game instead. They got really good quickly, and Joseph beat everyone a lot. lol. Out of four games, I only won once. The night ended with Gifti winning 15 kwatcha.

Joseph left - 21, Charlie middle - 18, Gifti right - 18.

They didn't want to play anymore that night, so I went back to the house and watched, 'Non Stop' with the Emerys. It is a very good movie. I recommend you try watching it. XD
