Here are the dogs at the Emery's. Duke and Prim. I have been calling Duke, Juke, instead of its actual name, because the way Darren pronounces it in his Irish accent, it sounds like he is saying, 'Juke.'
Duke the German Shepherd. Darren's favourite breed of dog. |
Prim the normal village dog, just not as skinny as the rest. |
One other problem that showed up, was that some of the bits in the wheel had become looser themselves and caused themselves to come out the back end, making them shorter in the front.
I had to run to the water-tower to grab Darren a larger wrench so that he could repair the shorter ones. After I got him the wrench, Darren decided to go make some new gates for the pig pen as the pigs had jumped over the smaller one that we had today. It took a bit of time to get them in but was worth it. I had to transport the two smaller pigs to another pen, so as I caught them, they would NOT stop screaming. It was terrible. Nearly made my hearing break, but after a few seconds, I shut their mouths with my hand.
Darren, a man of many talents, welding away. |
The Hope Village Youth Club that is run by Robert here in Hope Village.
After three hours of working.
Bring Lake Of The Trees Bible Camp to Malawi. All the Malawians ask about it, and I tell them all about it and how we earned up a ton of money for goats and pigs for Hope Village.
George enjoying the shade in another hot day.
This evening I decided to make pizza. It was the worst decision ever and was super frustrating to make. We had to manage with almost having no tomato sauce, barely any cheese, and more missing ingredients for the pizza dough. One problem after the next, but...
... eventually it was made.
As I was eating dinner, I looked up and was like, "What the heck is that?!" I saw this enormous insect with long legs trying to climb up the window. It turned out to be a 3 1/2 - 4 inch Scorpion Spider. They are an extremely venomous spider. Its bite can kill a person or seriously harm them. They always chase people, so watch out!

Keiran and I decided to follow it and kill it. We only went after it because it wasn't chasing us. It must have been more of a scared one.
Dead Scorpion Spider . |
