Mangoes and Laughter

Today's job was a bit more fun than the usual jobs: Picking mangoes from the mango trees, so we could give them to the staff and sell them to villagers.

Photo credits to Darren. They're great! Thanks!

Legendary Samuel Maibeki.

The garden staff grabbing first picks on the mangoes. I managed to get myself three almost ripe mangoes.

After lunch I went over to the Village Shop to help out Tom. He's thirty-eight and his oldest is twenty-two. Ya, I know. Weird, eh. Well, Malawians here get things done. Lol.

Here Tom allowed me to dress him up. He is seriously the funniest and best person to be around. He is always laughing and smiling.

I spent a few hours with him at the shop counting the mangoes (behind Tom in the above photo), fixing his ringtone and time on his phone, measuring bags of salt and bags of sugar, and finally dressing him up.

  4. Bring a souvenir Coke bottle home. Was it pretty cool to pick mangos from a tree not from a bag from the store. LOL;)
